Some of the things I would like to work on to ensure this website runs smoother :
- create fallback static pages for poor browsers
- re-factor all java-script, minimise global vars, improve structure, shorten the scope chains, re-think the mechanism behind my gallery, create efficient way to display some work descriptions
- mobile & ipad support (design complete )
that should be it for now, hopefully will cross most of those off in the next few weeks. Now i need some rest.
Around 8:50pm Australian time I have finally launched the alpha version of my new website. At this stage it is by no means perfect, and tere are still Quite a few things I would like to work out and improve on but it’s a start.
At this point I am only supporting modern browsers (Safari, Chrome, Firefox etc.) Not sure about ie9 as I don’t have means to test at the moment. Later on I will add static page support for browsers that don’t do css3 transforms. As well as that, I need to tidy up my javascript and organise it better. I would also like to improve the overall performance, so plenty of re-factoring to be done.
